Gentle Reminder - War Is Hell.

MP News Here is gentle reminder - War is Hell and Coming Home Isn't Easy Either

Think about our Brothers and Sisters.... Past and Present.
Thank them for their service when you meet them, shake their hand and Welcome them Home. Yes, even in airports this holiday season.
You'll see them in uniform as I always do.

New Veteran Scholarships at Wesleyan University

MP News Wesleyan University announced the creation of 10 new scholarships dedicated to helping veterans cover the gap between the cost of tuition and expenses and their GI Bill benefits. The scholarships are needs based and will be awarded to veteran students who would otherwise not be able to afford to attend Wesleyan.
Veterans who wish to apply for this scholarship must do so as part of the normal admissions process at Wesleyan University.
Feel free to visit the Admissions Department Website for more info.

The Search For America's World War I Veterans

MP News Time is running out to find and recognize the last remaining veterans of "The Great War."
The rolls of World War I veterans have declined so rapidly that the day is fast approaching when there will be one remaining, then none.
The VA, with assistance from historians, state agencies and others, is keeping a roster of those veterans.
Three years ago, there were about 250 remaining WWI American veterans. Yet, there may be other WWI veterans out there, perhaps in private nursing homes or in the care of family members, who have not been identified by VA.

If you know of any WWI veterans in your area, please contact VA's Office of Public Affairs in Washington, DC, at opaweb@va.gov
